Everything You Should Know About The Late Yoruba Actress, Moji Olaiya



Moji Olaiya is a Yoruba actress who died on May 17 at age 42 as a result of possible complications from her child birth in a hospital in Canada.

1 Moji Olaiya was born on February 27, 1975 .

2 She is the daughter of highlife musician, Victor Olaiya.


3 Moji Olaiya began her acting career with Wale Adenuga’s production Super Story. She has starred in several Nollywood movies of Yoruba and English genres.
4 The role interpreter is known for her roles in films such as No Pains No Gains, in which she played Ireti, Sade Blade (2005), Nkan adun (2008) and Omo iya meta leyi (2009).
5 She married Bayo Okesola in 2007 but they are now separated.
6 She had a teenage daughter, Ajokeade Adunoluwa.

7 Olaiya converted to Islam in 2014.
8 Moji lost her younger brother, Alfred Olaiya in 2015 and another brother of hers, Ayo barely survived a ghastly motor accident in April 2017.

9 In 2016 she released a film, Iya Okomi, starring Foluke Daramola and Funsho Adeolu, which was scheduled to premiere in Lagos on July.
10 The actress died on May 17, 2017 two months after she had her baby in a hospital in Canada. She was reportedly married to her Canada-based lover.
