Footage Shows Boy Knocked Unconscious By Bullies 2 Days Before Commiting Suicide

Harrowing footage has been released showing an eight-year-old boy being knocked unconscious by alleged school bullies just days before he committed suicide.

Gabriel Taye took his own life in January after he was mercilessly picked on by other students, his mother said. CCTV footage from inside the bathroom at his Cincinnati elementary school shows another child throwing Gabe against the wall, knocking him out.

The little boy is seen lying motionless on the bathroom floor as other pupils walk by him. Other students are seen stepping over him, pointing, nudging and kicking him in the footage, released by officials at Carson Elementary School yesterday. An Ohio coroner has now reopened the investigation into the boy's death.

Lawyer Jennifer Branch, representing Gabriel's mother, said: "She's devastated that her son's second to last day was so painful for him."

The school is believed to have made no mention of the alleged assault, on January 24, to Gabe's mum saying only that her son had fainted.

That night, she took him to the hospital after he started throwing up and doctors diagnosed stomach flu.

Just two days later, the tragic schoolboy was found hanged in his bedroom.

In a statement, the public school said it had followed protocol.
