Christopher Laidler, 31, had been at a gogo bar on notorious Walking Street in Pattaya, during the country’s Songkran New Year celebrations.He then left and went up to one of the rooms at ‘Walking Street Guest House’ on the third floor above the Sweetheart Agogo club.
According to UK Mirror, at 4.30am horrified passers-by saw him leap naked from the third floor window.Christopher, from Leeds, West Yorks landed on the pavement. Paramedics tried to revive him but he died on the way to hospital.
Police in the crime-ridden city - which had been making desperate efforts to clean up its image - are now investigating.
Eye-witness Pol Nuttinon said:
“There was a lot of panic and the foreigner was naked in the street. He was big and he landed so hard.
“Doctors arrived and they were pumping his heart to try and revive him but he was unconscious.
“This is a big shock because everyone had been in a good party feeling because of Songkran.”
Police Captain Kengsart Nuanpong said the rooms of the guest house were rented on a “daily basis” and none of Christopher’s valuables or possessions were found there.
